hello! this week was a week full of SERVICE!!! lots of raking leaves. LOTS. we did service almost every day. a lady in the ward called us, hermana alonso, and wanted us to clean her backyard. it was SO MUCH RAKING AND WEEDING, so we were there for a couple hours for two days with the other sisters and elders. we also helped out the elders with service (raking) for some of their investigators, helped a lady in the ward clean out her garage, and helped a sick less active clean her house. we ALSO went to salvation army one morning with our district to do service. so. LOTS OF SERVICE. hopefully that means lots of blessings ;)
this week, our appointments fell through with the rodriguez fam and biridiana, so we have more appointments tonight. its rough, since its soo hard to find people home. so we try to pass by multiple times a week, sometimes daily, but they're not home!!! ugh. but we have more appointments tonight. so hopefully they'll go!!!
we got some disappointing news this morning, david and samuel dont want to take the lessons anymore :( they werent at church yesterday so we passed by and they seemed fine, but we got a call this morning that they dont want to. so thats sad.
but. this week, we began teaching the cousin of some recent converts in the ward! she's 11, named Alondra, and shes been to mutual a few times. and she seems interested! and her family (cousins and aunt and uncle, the pavons) are super supportive so hopefully it will go somewhere! we also found the sister in law (or something) of the same family and started teaching her and her mom as well! they seem super interested as well. they've heard from missionaries before, and she said that she LOVED when they sang "soy un hijo de Dios." so we sang it, and she said the prayer at the end and said "thank you for having the missionaries come over and sing my favorite song." soo niceeee!!!!
we've had some less actives that we've been working with come to church the last several sundays so that has been awesome! yay!
we also had zone conference on tuesday (HALLOWEEN) and it was great! i learned a lot - how to ask better questions, how to follow the spirit more, how to study. it was sooo gooooood! and i forgot to say, a couple weeks ago i saw the new light the world video for december and it was awesome. so excited for december!!!!!!!!!!
