HI! this week was crazy (again)

milton came to church!! we had a lesson with him and the pearsons (the senior couple here) and it was a sick lesson. elder pearson said "you two are very lucky to be teaching him." we are! hes so humble and willing to accept what we teach and so open to learn. we have a plan to bring his wife some famous sister pearson chocolate chip cookies this week hahahha. please pray for his wife so she accepts the gospel, he really wants it and thats the only thing thats keeping him from gettin baptized quickly

rosario and virgilio are being very off and on.,,, we're confused at whats going on but praying for them would be really nice too :-) we're trying to figure it out. they took us to a buffet this week (sizzler) hahaha and it was so nice and yummy and we had a plan for them to get priesthood blessings after church on sunday to help them with the word of wisdom, but then they didnt come to church................ so we're gonna see about that. we're going to hopefully see them today! 

we have an investigator (miriam) who today is going to give us a huge box of panaderia postres for free, including the (self claimed) best quesitos in the world. so we're pretty pumped for today

but im staying in toa baja for another transfer with hermana wilkey and we're super excited for this transfer! we're going to see lots of big mriacles and bBAPTISMMMSSSSS YEEEET

Crazy Week - October 22, 2018

hi! this week we had a pretty crazy week and saw lots of miracles. 

it started last week when we got a text from virgilio (him and rosario were supposed to get baptized on saturday) and he said that he wouldnt be able to get baptized, because he had started smoking again. and he was embarrassed so he didnt want to see us, so it was about a week of us texting him and we left some notes at his door with scriptures and stuff. but we had one cita with rosario and she said that he wasnt going to come because he didnt want to see us, and told her that he didnt want to keep going with the lessons :((( which was sad because he wants to get baptized because he knows everything is true. but then we kept texting him and we said that we just wanted to talk to him and finally he agreed so we had a cita with him and rosario on friday and it went amazing! we put them back on date and they both came to church on sunday! 

1 corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

we shared that scripture with him and talked about repentance and the atonement of Jesus Christ and he is really motivated to quit smoking. so we are really happy about that :)

we also have milton on date and hes fire. his only problem is that his wife hates us basically so she doesnt want him to meet with us. haha. so thats kept him from coming to church the last two weeks, but he promised that he will come this sunday. he is in 2 nephi 5 in his book of mormon reading and knows that this is the true church. hes had lots of opposition (Basically lots of his friends talking bad about the church) but hes strong and asks us all his questions and it all works out. 

on friday, we had bascially the BEST day ever. it was sooooo crazy.  we started out with our lesson with milton, then we had some extra time in the area and saw on the ward list that there was a less active that lived nearby, so we went to the neighborhood but it was a gated community. and they just had a key pad so i was like "lets just type in the house number and see what happens!" so we did and THE GATE MAGICALLY OPENED HAHAHHAH it was sooo funny hahahah. milagrooo. then we went to the house and the less active had moved like 10 years ago but the family that lived there was SUPER interested in the message and we had like a half an hour conversation with them about the book of mormon and it was sick. and it turns out that the dad opened the gate for us without even knowing who it was haha because he thought it was his daughter coming in. hahahah. so funny. and then we had some other citas and had some extra time before our lesson with rosario and virgilio so we said a prayer about where we could go to contact for a little bit and we went to this one place called covadonga and found this super cool young couple! it was so weird, they just let us in without even asking who we were and sat on the couch and asked us questions and literally the whole time i was like "do they know who we are? are they confused and think that we're different people?" ahhaha. that doesnt usually happen. so we saw lots of miracles on friday. God is in the little tiny details!

so it was a great week!

Hiiii - October 15, 2018

this week was pretty lit! we had a good zone conference and i got to see lots of friends and i learned a lot. we talked a lot about preparing puerto rico for the temple. you see, moses 3:5 

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew. For I, the Lord God, created all things, of which I have spoken, spiritually, before they were naturally upon the face of the earth.

so we have to prepare the island spiritually and build the temple spiritually before its built physically. 

rosario and virgilio, our people who were on date for this saturday, fell through because of some word of wisdom stuff, but they still want to be baptized and so everyone pls pray 4 them

yep we have spent all week working hard and finding people and teaching, and cleaning our house from rat poop :) so fun.

toa baja is pretty lit, and i love training lil hermana wilkey. its so fun!
