THE PROPHET IS COMING - August 27, 2018

hi!!!!! this week was pretty goooood we did some good service (painting a members house) and FARAH GOT CONFIRMED! so happy. shes cool. she the best. 

yesterday a couple from utah who got married on FRIDAY was here for their honeymoon and they wanted to come out with us hahaha para santificar el dia de reposo so they went out with us for like 4 hours and it was so fun hahahah.

PRESIDENT NELSON IS COMING TO PUERTO RICOOO!!!!! that was the best news i got all week. we are SO EXCITED. hes going to do a missionary devotional for all the caribe on saturday (from the dominican republic) but we're gonna watch that and then hes coming to puerto rico on sunday and gonna do a meeting for ALL OF PUERTO RICO! so all the members, missionaries, investigators, and the island is invited. its gonna be sooo gooood. the last time a prophet came was president hinkley in the 1990s, so its gonna be very special. yaaayyyy!!!!! puerto rico is so #blesseeeddddd

Farah got baptized!!!! - August 20, 2018

hiiiiiiiiiii!!!!! this week was kind of crazy but the best part was that farah got baptized yesterday!!!!!!!!!!! it was such a nice baptism. basically everyone that meets farah agrees that shes the coolest and gonna be such a good member. the relief society president already wants to replace one of the relief society teachers with farah hahaha. it was so special. she didnt plug her nose when she went under and it basically looked like this:

so dramatic. hahah. but she was crying happy tears and said that she felt so close to God and now her 12 year old son wants to get baptized and shes being such a good missionary haha. yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go farah! shes the BEEEST. 

also remember that lady that i told about last week that she said that she had been praying that God wouldnt leave her alone and then we showed up? turns up that she really has been looking for a church to get baptized in, and so shes on date now. haha. wooo! for september 15th. hermana winsor and i have a goal to get 6 baptisms on danes 6th birthday. LETS GOOOOOOOO. but its super cool and just shows that the Lord is preparing certain people and sometimes it seems really random when you find one of them.... yay!!!!!!!!!!

hi! this week was gr8. we had transfers on tuesday so i got my new companion hermana winsor! shes super great. we are having lots of success. we should be having a baptism on sunday for farah! wooo! she came to church and was so excited about her baptism and telling everyone. yayay! 

this week we did lots of talking to everyone to find news. we were looking for an unknown member from the ward list and we couldnt find her house, so we were going to yell at this one house to ask if they knew her, but the lady came out and we started talking to her and it wasnt the lady that we were looking for. but we talked to her for a little while and she told us "i have been feeling alone because after the hurricane i lost everything and no one has been helping us, and i just prayed to God to not leave me alone and to help me. and then you two showed up!" it was a super awesome experience because it just shows that god uses us to answer other peoples prayers, even when we dont exactly know what we're doing He just guides us, if we allow him to

just lots of good missionary work going up here in rio grande. its a great area and i love the members. we had our book of mormon class again this week and i LOVE seeing all the members get into reading the book of mormon. its so nice. one of them started like 2 weeks ago and hes already in helaman. not everyone is going that fast hahaa but people are getting motivated. i love it.

Transfers :0 - August 6, 2018

heyy!!!!!!!!!!!! this week was super goooooood. we got transfer calls and hermana mcdonald is leaving :((((((((((((( shes going to ponce, and hermana WINSOR is gonna be my new companion! shes just moving up from trujillo alto, which is like 1 pueblo away haha. but im pumped! this week we put some investigators on date and had some MILAGROS.  and we went to VIEQUES. ANOTHER ISLAND. ON A BOAT.

it was liiiit. we went to vieques with the district and did a service project! it was so fun! we had to take a ferry ride of like an hour and a half on the way there and back. and hermana mcdonald and i rode around all day in the back of a truck. and we helped load and unload food and water and such to help with hurricane relief (its still going on)

this week we put farah on date!!!!! shes literally the COOLEST. im so excited for her baptism. wooooooooooo

so we´re teaching this SUPER COOL FAMILY with juan, junior, naara and lily. juan and junior and lily are all siblings and oldish and naara is lilys 19 year old daughter. and theyre SWEEEEEET. they were a referral from a member and theyre progressing super well. juan is reading the book of mormon and in 1 nephi 18. he wants to get baptized too! but he has some word of wisdom problems so we have to help with that. im excited. ive never had an investigator that ive helped get off drugs and stuff haha. but EVERYONE PRAY FOR THEM BC THERES POTENTIAL FOR LOTS OF GOOD MEMBERS IN THIS FAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yesterday MILAGROS OF FASTING! MILTON CAME TO CHURCH!!! hes the husband of the less active member thats returning, maria. and he has been so scared to come to church. we think its mostly social stuff, because like all of his fam is catholic and so he has basically refused to come to church. but HE CAME YESTERDAY!! it was so NICEEEE. and also another miracle. there is another less active member who lives in loiza, giomari, who wanted to come to church but no one could give her a ride. but we asked maria if she could, and she gave her a ride and we were so nervous that giomari was going to be sleeping because she doesnt have a phone or anything but maria gave her a ride and there were NO ISSUES and it was so stressful but they all made it. and giomari (as you can see in the pic) showed up with a huge cross necklace and when she walked into the sacrament room just kneeled down and started praying HAHAHHHAHA it was so funny but HEY SHE CAME! woooooo. 

we are continuing with the book of mormon reading and this week we read words of mormon and heres a nice verse that i liked

And I do this for a wise purpose; for thus it whispereth me, according to the workings of the Spirit of the Lord which is in me. And now, I do not know all things; but the Lord knoweth all things which are to come; wherefore, he worketh in me to do according to his will.
